It is the oil extracted from the seeds of a rose bush that grows wild in the south of Chile, a cool and very rainy mountain region. The oil pressed off the Rosehip seed contains an amazing 77% of fatty acids (linoleic and linolenic). Fatty acids have very important functions in the regeneration of skin cells and repair of damaged tissues.
Over the years, Rose Hip Oil has been shown to retard the signs of premature aging and provide excellent results in the treatment of burns, scars and unsightly spots on skin. If applied consistently during two or three months Rose Hip Oil was found to:
Reduce wrinkles and signs of premature aging. It will also help counter the drying effects of the sun which are usually first noticed in fine wrinkles or "crows feet" around the eyes and mouth.
Attenuate scars (surgical and accidental) and improves the color of same (i.e., reduces the redness or hyper pigmentation). It also avoids the formation of the keloid type of scar (lump) which may appear after surgical procedures and helps to make less apparent scars left by acne or chickenpox.
Provide excellent results in treatment of skin that has been burnt or exposed to radiotherapy.
Rose Hip Oil is massaged into the affected area with fingertips until completely absorbed. With constant use, you will see a remarkable improvement in your skin.
While there are many, many brand of rosehip oil sold in the United States, 98% of those brands add additives to the oil, to lenghten shelf life and to increase volume...Rosehip oil is an active ingredient that must be imported to the US. Therefore, the tentation to "strech" a liter of oil into the equivalent of 1.5 liters of what later will be called "pure oil" is too great.
The labels sold here are manufactured in Chile, where truly pure rosehip oil is plentiful and there is no great commercial gain from selling a product that is no 100% pure and organic.
